Planning and Scheduling
In many ways the Manager Consultant can be called upon to act as scheduler, planner, project manager or other function related to keeping the project on track and on schedule. Skills with communication and tracking tools such as word processing Project management and Presentation software is a critical component to success on a project.
Execution
Depending on the scale of the project, the Manager Consultant may be called on as an expert resource to aid the Program Manager in getting things done. The project manager is the interface to the customer and in that capacity, it is very important that the connection stays very healthy and positive in nature. An effective Manager Consultant can make that relationship work well and continue on a positive note by execution to plan and troubleshooting issues as they arise. This frees the project manager to spend time building relationships and understanding the customer’s needs rather than bogged down in details.
